In 1956 Angelo Sacchini and Ugo Bunamici were licensed at the Owl Bar in Yerington at 11 North Main Street. They plugged along until sometime in 1959.

The Owl re-opened in 1961 and had a couple different owners until 1977. The Masini family, prominent ranchers in the area bought it and leveled it and built Casino West. The family's children Brian and Patty are in charge today.
