Similar to what Brent was saying it boils down to is this; the average annual salary for a Customer Service rep in the USA is $32,000 + benefits. Average annual salary for a Customer Service rep in India is $2,000 with few if any benefits.

What we have is an un-level playing field on which workers in the USA don't have a chance, can't even compete. It used to be mainly the manufacturing jobs that were off shored but now it's white collar jobs too.

Before Boeing showed me the door in 2002, the engineers were all up in arms about some of the work being subcontracted to design centers in Russia, China, etc...

Think it doesn't affect you?? It does! The availability of a cheap source of labor is putting downward pressure on a lot of the folks who are still working.

And here where I live there is an overabundance of undocumented workers from our neighbors to the south. Why don't they send them back?? They're here illegally aren't they??? What it comes down to is they're cheap labor & "they'll do the dirty grunt jobs that Americans won't do" so I'm told. In Reality, they'll do the dirty grunt jobs for minimum wage. If they are here legally, I'm all for it after all my and most everyone's predecessors were immigrants too.

Own a business?? Guess what?? I can't afford to buy your product anymore.

I am not an Economic major but it doesn't take one to see what is going on. In an attempt to return to the Bull market of the 1990's, Wall Street can't see any farther than next quarters profits and I am afraid that it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
