the snow stops...June maybe? I'm just down the road in Syracuse and will hit it this spring. A track near Turning Stone, Vernon Downs, is set to have a "racino" but the gaming commission won't issue a gaming license. Problems with the L.V. owner and problems at the track. If they get the license and open the slots and video devices, it should kick the Oneida's in their backside since the Oneidas have only class II electronic devices. The Oneidas are refusing to deal with NY even though a lower court has found their operation illegal because the compact was never approved by the NY State Legislature. It will be interesting to see how these two matters play out.
