Re: Hey John, you weren't trying scan any of those

It's getting so you can get one new, for less than you can buy a questionable scanner at some resale shop.

By the time I sold some of my cheap chips, last round of auction, I was thinking how much I should pay to have someone take a chip from me? grin Or why I don't have a newer scanner.

Listing 35c, commission, Paypal 2.9% plus 30c fee to take credit cards, postage 49c, bubble pack anywhere from free (recycled) to $1.29 at the USPS store.

Roughly 1.50 to sell a chip, with "free Shipping", not including paper to print the receipt, mailing label, tape, staples, OK lets say, small other expenses.

So a $1.20 chip sold, I lose 25c and a $1.50 sale I can consider breaking even? LOL vbg

Don't quit your day job!

With that I have been forced to start charging $2 for shipping and 50c for each additional chip. Big deal. But maybe I can break even now.

My last, and only scanner, was free because someone upgraded his system. It's an old SCSI port which means most people couldn't even use it for free, but I have a card. My old computer doesn't have USB on it.

Hey, what's it like in the modern world. grin
