Jackpot

JPA is a great idea and with some improvements it could be THE chipping auction site.

Right now, it lacks the functionality of eBay.

Log in - go to closed auctions - you must log in again?! A bit annoying. I already logged in, so why make me do it again less than 30 seconds later?

Items on the "watch list" drop off when the auction ednds, so there is no easy way to see what the item sold for. If I wanted to buy item A at $12 and it sold at $15 I know how far I am from having a successful bid (in theory anyway).

You CAN search if you know the item #, but that thing bumps and grinds like a dance-hall girl, and I am on cable. Lord knows how long a dial-up takes!

IO know I've mentioned it, but having your username and password in the URL when you go
to "My Page" is a very, very bad idea indeed. I mentioned it months agao and was told they's "look into it" whatever that means. They run the same server software as eBay so there is no reason why it can't be done.

Anyone else think of anything JPA can do to move ahead of eBay? Between eBay and Paypal, they put their hand pretty deep in your pocket on a sale.
