I'm using an email address (see it in the email address for any of my messages), that is ONLY used for this BB. Same goes for the Strike BB, which has a different, unique email address.

When someone writes to me as a reply to a message here, it comes up in my mail with a Purple box in front of it. Green box if it's from the Strike BB.

There's a tiny bit more, but that's the easy stuff. So if someone who comes here, had my address in their cache and the worm used it to send emails, then I'll get a Purple box message.

Kind of nice and I an have up to 25 of them, so say I go to some site and login, but they use my information to sell to people who want to spam the heck out of my mailbox, two things happen.

1) I know the source, since the email address is only for that site.
2) I can kill that mailbox and create a new one.

In effect I have 25 filtered email addresses, to use and throw away. It's called disposable emal addresses. It came with SBC Yahoo Dial. Nice invention?

Since I got email messages into my WebBased mail reader (they don't even get close to my computer) plus they ended up in the Bulk mailbox (which filters viruses and spam... green messages and purple messages, which means they came from someone, or two people, who read the BBs.

I also have Norton Systemworks and I keep anti-virus running on all files at all times. Your advise is well taken.

Big problem with this new one, was the software to catch it, has to be designed, after the attack, so there's always a short period where even those of us who are cautious, might be infected. But much less chance than people who don't care if all their data gets wiped clean, or people outside can invade, read, or use their computer.
