If you are going to make wooden display shelves you should segragate any dice that have started to deteriorate. Both Nitrate and Acetate dice should be stored seperately from the rest of your collection if they are deteriorating. If on a wooden shelf the offending dice should be placed on a small peice of acid free matt board to prevent acid byproducs from dice degradation from soaking into the wood. You will notice over time that the matt board will start to turn yellow or brown from the acid coming out of the dice.
