WOW !!! I must have a reputation !!

Ever since I posted earlier that I was getting ready to leave for the caribbean, Ive had a huge influx of people emailing me, curious to where I'm heading to this year.

It seems I've developed a reputation for going to some less common places and places that usually have casinos. I don't go there by cruise ships, but rather I fly in and stay a week to 10 days. This time. It'll be in St, Kitts for 9 days over New Years. I;ll be leaving Dec 26th and returning Jan 3rd.

For those that are new to the chipboard and don't know me very well yet, I'll let you in on a little secret. Don't tell anyone, but I bring back lots of chips! Shhhh....quiet now...and remember...it's our little secret. I also usually bring back various other casino related items whenever I can, like dice, slot cards, etc.

I dont usually bring back many tokens, so if there are those that particularly want them, please let me know. For those of you that want $1.00 chips, don't worry, I usually bring back plenty. For those that are interested in higher denomination chips, please let me know ahead of time.

I'm doing all of my final packing. I've got my son to watch the house. Hopefully he won't be having any wild beer parties while I'm away. I've got my chip collection and valuables moved to a safe family house. I've got the nieghbors on alert to watch out for suspiciouis activity (and keeping an eye on my son). I've got the mail being held. I've got all the important papers moved to the saftey depsity box at the bank, just in case the house burns down.

So if there's any time that having a fire breakout and burn up my house wouldnt relly bother me too much, it would be now.

Oh, the things I go through just to be able to have my wife and I feel everything is safe at home! IF I didnt do all of this, Deb would just drive me crazy worrying about things. So its worth all of the effort just to put our minds at ease.

We'll be staying at the Timothy Beach Resort on the caribbean side of St.Kitts, right at the base of Monkey Hill. As always, I'll come back and write a comprehensive rundown on all of the fun and especially the casinos.

I should try to track down some of the old reports I made after my returning from the archives. I'd love to put a couple on my website. I remember the report from Antigua was pretty funny.

This year, besides bringing my 35mm Cannon Rebel with the 24-300mm Tameron zoom, and Sony digital camera, I'll also be lugging along a digital video cam for shooting some videos that I hope will be suitable for my website after a bit of editing. I'm planning on starting a more comprehensive report on the casinos of the islands along with the chips. Its been in the works, but hadnt been developed. With any luck, this will be the catalyst.

We travel to the caribbean usually twice a year often times visiting places a second time. But, we always go to at least one new island that we've never been to before. Some of the places weve been to in the last couple of years have been:

~Cost Rica- to a place called Tambor on the Nicoya Peninsula.

~Dominican Republic- stayed in an area called Punta Cana on the far east side of the island.

~St. Martin/Saint Maartin This Island is half french and half dutch. We chose the french side and decided we had to stay up on Orient beach. It was driving over to the Dutch side to visit all of the casinos.

~Cabo San Lucas- where the southern most point of the baja penisula meets the Sea Of Cortez.New Years!

~Grand Cayman Island
~Cozomel
~Providence Island (Nassau)8 times now
~Grand Bahama Island (Freeport)
~Antigua
~Aruba (twice)New Years
~Curacao
~St. Kitts and Nevis (This New Years)

Being into photography a bit, I always shoot around 10 full rolls of film on each trip. So if anyone is interested in seeing them sometime, just let me know.

So...in closing this post (book), I'll still be with you here until Christmas night. Finsishing off my final trades and sticking my two cents in where ever I can.
