I found this one on eBay and it brought back memories of my first years in the club.

Don Bestle had an ad in Volume 1 #2 which was the first issue of the newsletter to have ads. Second Quarter 1988.

The ad reads in part, "Send for a complete 50 page listing and a encased penny in a good luck horseshoe. All for $2.00 postpaid"

Club membership at the time was Aprox. 182, which I got from the new member listing in the next issue.

At the end of 1989 the club had 215 paid-up members from 29 states. (Wisconsin had 2 members) The overwhelming number of collectors were from California at 64, NJ 25, NY 21, NV 17, AZ 10. 137 or 64% of the membership was from those five states.

April 1993 marked member #1000 announced in the "Token News" and by July #1146 plus 12 associate members were listed. 158 new members in three months.

May 1st was the first convention at the Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas. (sixth annual meeting)
