Greetings All,

Having been an occasional voyeur of The Chip Board for the past couple of years, I feel as though I already know many of you.

Once I realized I could acquire antique poker chips on Ebay, I quickly replaced the set I used for the monthly poker games played at my home. The generic inlaid chips were my favorites, especially the numeral chips. I was in desperate need for chips with the number 2 on them so I posted my inquiry on the Chip Board. Travis Lewin responded that he believed he had purchased some of these chips years ago and would try to locate them for me. He soon emailed me that he did find the chips, but that they were actually old roulette chips from the Desert Inn, not the generic inlaids he remembered buying. He kindly sent me one of these chips as a memento when we realized that 100 of these chips would be out of my budget for every day use. Another reader was able to sell me many of the chips that I was looking for and I have put them to good use.

My collecting interests are primarily unusual numerals (2's, 3's and 4's), Crest and Seals, and Vegas chips I have actually gambled with. Up to this point I have purchased enough of each chip so that I could use them on the poker table. I now plan to collect individual chips to go with my DI 2 roulette.

I am a 38 year old, joyfully married, father of two. I work in the investment banking industry and I recently started a company that designs and installs residential, synthetic putting greens. I look forward to getting to know you all.
