I personally have mixed opinions on this. I am Vice President of the Greater Houston Chapter. Most of our members are local collectors who collect nothing but area illegals from Galveston. They have no desire to collect other types of chips, would never make it to the convention in Vegas and probably would not read the club magazine if you gave it to them for free. While I wholly support Chapter Officers being national club members, I am afraid that a rule of that nature will cause our own chapter membership to drop. We have been working hard to bring in new members to our chapter wherever and however we can. I personally love the idea of all Chapter members being International members and abiding by all rules and bylaws of the club. However I truly fell that this restriction will cause a loss in membership for my own chapter and possibly others that are in the same situation that we are.
