Another stupid eBay auction description. I am used to these, but you don't know whether to cry, scream, laugh or call the police........ The seller says, "We don't know anything; we are not experts in the area of gambling memorabilia." (Probably true. The stuff is worth about $100-$200, I guess, mainly due to the rack.) Then he talks about no reserve and how someone might steal it for the opening bid ($1800!), but that is also the "buy it now" amount!!!!??? The funniest part, in light of him saying "we don't know anything" is this statement:
"The low opening bid does not reflect the actual value of these chips and is intended to allow all interested parties regardless of budget to place a bid; however, since there is no reserve the opening bid might win the auction. If that happened, someone would have a real prize! " (!!!???) These people don't think or care what they say.... ...... Incidentally, they mention ivory in the sub-title, but no place else.
