Could be the chip is 1941 as Bill at Gaming Times has that date. I used 1948 because it's the last date that the chip could have been in play. He has one up on eBay, ending in five days, you might want to take a look? It's starting at $120...

Now more of the story as passed on to me by the seller. Her Grandmother had rented a property to a gentleman who sometimes paid the rent in casino chips. He got a few months behind and paid one last time, before moving out. The chips used were the Club Fortune $25's.

When the lady went to the casino to cash them in, the doors were closed, the renter gone and she couldn't get her money. She took the chips home, where they have been ever since.

Poor lady got stiffed, but that leaves us these fine chips.
