Re: Some Early Sinatra LV Advertising

Strange it would have his name - I though it was kinda neat so I stopped and snaped a pic or two. I still have them somewhere as well as the negatives (I think). Don't know if the address is in the shot - you could always check records in Vegas to see what the deal was.

Just because it isn't mentioned doesn't mean it wasn't his - after all the thing was boarded up (a failure) so maybe not something included in his obit.

Did they mention the NGC forced him to sell his share of Cal-Neva when they discovered Sam Giancana was a frequent guest?

How about when he had some teeth knocked out while he was in a drunked rage at a casino where his credit was overextended and they cut him off?

Not obit material I'd say.

Anyway, I'd bet it was his. How many people are going to open Sinatra's in Vegas and use the colors of the Italian flag on the building?

It's hard to find the fact that Howard Hughes never really bought the DI or Frontier - they were leased, but the fact remains they were never actually purchased, as was (and still is) widely reported.

The WWW doesn't have all the answers, nice as it is for finding things.
