Ebay missing chips-What Would You Do?

Let me pose a scenario that I'm experiencing with an Ebay buyer.

I sold a set of Palms Playboy Home Video $5.00 chips about a month ago. The total auction plus shipping was $38.85. The buyer send me an ebay email informing me he would be sending a check. Optional insurance was offered at actual cost and recommended, but the the buyer declined the insurance. The check arrived and I shipped the chips out.

The buyer informed me a few weeks later that the chips had not arrived. I requested that he wait another week to see if they showed up. The buyer contacted me yesterday stating still no chips. I told the buyer I would send him out another set, and reminded him that this was exactly why he should always opt for the insurance for items that are worth more then just a couple of dollars.

Now it gets interesting. I looked at the email that the guy sent notifying me that the check was on it's way, to get the address to ship the chips out to. When I see the address, I am confused, because this doesn't look like the address I remembered sending the chips to! So, luckily, I had made a photo copy of the check. I pull the check copy out, and sure enough, the address is completely different.

I email the buyer and tell him that there is a problem, and I have two different addresses for him. He emails me back saying that he must have accidentally used some old checks, and that the address on the check is very very old! The address on the check was of course the address I mailed the chips to.
