Tom; I know personally that there are several Playboy collectors who were not aware of these quanties of Playboy UK chips being made available recently and who have paid substantial prices for some of them. Not every Playboy collector has your book... although I would heatily recommend your book to anyone who collects Playboy chips. I've maintained the philosophy for many years now to "buy the book before the chip" ... even before I became interested in chips during my coin collecting days ... but some folks would rather spend the money on the chip or coin, erroneously thinking that the book is a luxury. Usually, the price of a good reference book will save the buyer or seller multiple times the amount of money the book sells for.

As for your question; "[isn't that the purpose of the club... "? No, I don't believe that is the club's purpose at all. That is more the purpose of this forum on thechipboard and the people who write reference catalogs than it is the club's purpose. I don't know of one book that the club has published.... although the club has most publications relative to our hobby in the club library which is available to all club members.
