Yes Archie, I don't mind the cost (of what ever it is) if it is the actual cost. I just don't think it is right for a person to make money by charging in excess of what the mailing cost actually is.

And I don't mind if the seller tacks on whatever profit he deems reasonable to the actual chip.

Although the bottom line is the same, if I want a particular chip, I will pay the price no matter what it is but will refuse to pay excessive shipping fees.

E.g. I will pay $25.00 for a chip plus $1.00 postage but will not pay $22.00 plus $4.00 shipping. Just a matter of principal. In addition, the auction house will not get their fair share of the extra $3.00.

Understand, these excessive shipping charges only exist on ebay and its ilk. The problem never arises within the chipping community (members of the CC>CC members or Greg's BB.)
