I helped uncover a far east scam when I traced the IP address of the originator of one of these emails before. They are all scams.

To be sure you are 'talking' to ebay, always check the web page address for any ebay page holding personal information. It will start with https and not http. It helps if you use the secure log-in rather than the standard one also.
