Lots of folks mistakenly feel this way ... but here is the falacy.

I (and others) purchase many chips on ebay primarily for inventory ... or for re-sale to a non on-line customer who is seeking a particular chip I don't have in inventory ... so the price paid on ebay has no relationship to the actual price the chip is eventually sold for after the ebay sale is concluded.
