Reno Show Trip SOTD*

*Scan O The Day. . . . Drove all night and tanked up at the breakfast table in Reno, but still had hours to go before check-in time. Dodged bumpkins down to Tahoe and headed for Incline Village. The Hyatt Regency was swamped with dirt, hardhats, scaffolding and various diesel powered gizmos, the hotel wrapped in yellow and blue Tyvek ®,looks as if they're removing the lovely patina of Kings Castle and the famous King's leer, alas. Past the big whoppin' houses on Lakeshore and I'm in Crystal Bay. Very friendly stores there, Crystal Bay Club, Jim Kelley's Nugget and the Tahoe Biltmore. Talk Packards with my tablemate at T. Biltmore where they have inlays on the dollar chips and hotstamps on the fives, go figure! Across the street at the freshened Crystal Bay Club, I score two players cards from the nice young lady at the counter but she won't slip me the aces from the house deck she's passing time with. Next door at JK's Nugget, they claim to have poker but the table is apparently in a secret location in this slot house. Steve McLendon saved the day and just gave me a Jim Kelly $1 chip the next day. Nice! vbg

So this Crystal Bay nickel looks to be a bleeder like the Eldorado fives. The Eldo chips even look faded at the tables already.
