Hollywood-Aurora Chips

Was just at Hollywood-Aurora, IL last night. Have never played table games there, using chips, before and was surprised by the chips that they were using. They aren't what I seemed to recall seeing before but being that I have never played tables there before, I never really looked. They are nice looking with a glittering little foil (Holographic(?)) like fan in the middle. They seem to be made of plastic and one thing that jumped right out at me was how smooth and slippery they are. It was difficult to handle, count and stack them as they just kept sliding around.

Does anyone know if these are new chips or have they had these for a while? The dealer mentioned that I wasn't the first person last night to have mentioned how slippery they seemed.

I didn't have a very lucky evening last night. Lost 90 bucks but did get a bit of play for my money. I played for about 45 minutes and got down to 10 2 times before getting back up to about $150 or $175. At $15 a hand it was a bit more than I am accustomed to ($5). I just couldn't get something going. I played about 45 minutes, got 1 blackjack and took my $2.50 chip with me, It is pink and blue with suited symbols on the edges along with 4 blue keystone shaped stripes. The night ended when I had $10 left and walked with 2 $5 chips. Gave one to my girlfriend for her budding collection. The $5 chips are red with yellow half moon shaped tabs and 8 stripes on the edge.
