£1 chips can be anything. The major chains tend to use Orange (Gala), variations on purple (Grosvenor), usually Yellow (Stanley), Blue (London Clubs). There are also yellow (Hard Rock), Green (Westcliff - my local) and several others.

£5 chips are, like the USA, usually Red, although there are others notably Stanley casinos who use green on their new design chips which are working their way around the country.

£25 chips are mainly Black, although again there are others (Victoria club in Nottingham has some attractive yellow £25 chips)

£100 chips are often pink but as I don't collect that high I don't have as much info to compare.

Beyond that, there is even less similarity.

It gets confusing between different clubs, and also when travelling to the US! I couldn't get used to playing in the Victoria club at the weekend where the red chips were £1 rather than £5!!
