Couple comments. I know recently the laws have changed in Florida. I don't live there so don't bite my head off. I know its not high stakes but haven't they removed the $10 pot limit and are atleast offering $2.00 bet games. And if I remember right I think they (casinos) can run regular tournaments too. I know not all casinos there haven't completely started offering these new options. Just food for thought.

Concerning your Poker League, Here are some questions that come to mind. Who would host the league? You, a Pub? Who will fund the supplies for the league? (Chips, cards, tables, dealers) I don't the legality there, but in Oklahoma your not able to offer any prize of value (Cash, Merchandise or even a Trophy) for a card game or contest. This is loosely enforced but could become a problem if you advertised. And advertising brings us back to the main issue of your post. Where can I find players for a regular game.

Suggestion, I have a regular game here. Instead of a weekly, I made it monthly. Works with peoples schedules better. Always play on the same day of the month, also makes things easier. Plan the next game during your current game. I talk to people all the time about our game. Not joe smoe on the street but people I know and have found alot of people interested in playing. We have mothers and grandmothers. Policemen, firemen, and friends. I have about 30 people on my distribution list for players. And usually have 20 show.

And if your ever in Oklahoma, come on buy. Everyone is welcome. Its lots of fun. We make it a family get together kinda thing. If you make it guys thing or something like that, you will push out alot of potential players.

Also post on recpoker.com or some of the other BBs to atract some players.

Wait a minute Will, aren't you military? You mean to tell me you can't get a group of your buddies together for a game. That was my life blood for players when I was in the Air Force.
