I see many charging $5!!!! Some even $6 on a current $100 Lady Luck I saw sell for $91 so for that particular seller he probably didn't do so good. The ones that charge $5 shipping for a current $5 chip are scam artists.

We charge $1 for up to 4 chips at our jcampi auctions. $2 now for my jvcinsb auctions where I sell better chips. Priority I charge $3.85 the exact cost to me as they give you the envelope.
Some make it a business on ebay to make money off shipping. This has been around longer then ebay. Almost anything you order mail order you will pay about double what it costs for shipping & usually this is called handling. I dont charge for that. The little extra I do make if any goes toward supplies & believe me does not cover them!
Some cheap collector sent me 60 cents in stamps as they knew that was exactly what it would cost me to mail a chip. I think I got lucky & made 11 cents & mailed it for 49 cents as it was under an ounce if I use thinner cardboard. Post office charges 12 cents for hand stamping if its to thick to go through the scanner. Did you know that? Not all post offices do this. Many I have to tell them how to do it!

What really gets me is when a person charges you the fees that Mail Boxes, etc. charges & then charges more for handling.
Supplies, gas, etc. Its all part of doing business. No reason to gouge collectors or buyers. Let them be happy by not getting ripped on shipping! You will get more in the long run. I should charge for my business ethics advise. It's all self taught. I figured how to do business mail order when I was 13 years old. And I am still making a living at it.
