THE BARN RENO NEVADA

December of 40 the Barn officially opened but wasn't licensed until January 1941. They took over the site where the Northern Club had been since 1931.

Jack Fugit and Walter Oswald in a rustic style. They had a bar, gaming tables, pinball machines, and other amusements.

In August 1941, Mike Micheletti, took over the gaming operation. He added all types of Poker and Pan.In Late 1941 Fugit and Oswald sold their interests to George Hilliard. Hilliard then sold his interest to Irving Cowan. By 1942 The Barn was being managed by Larry Brady, Mike Micheletti, and Cowan.

In November 1942 Larry Brady got into an altercation in the Bank Club. He drew a gun and threatened to kill Harry Bond and Hugh Smithwick. Brady who had recently sold his interest in the Barn was given probation with the condition he be in the merchant marine within 48 hours and to neverto return to Reno.

The Barn was sold to Wilbur Clark(same Desert Inn Guy) in 1944. He renamed it the Bonanza. Later it was The Frisco Club and finally Harrah's Bingo.

The former location of the Barn is part of Harrah's Main Casinoon the west side of Center Street, between Second Street and Douglas Alley.
