Now I'm really confused!!!

James, pricing of chips just drives me nuts.

How are Christmas Tree (Reno) c&s roulette chips worth considerably less than Cactus Pete (Pioche) c&s roulette chips.

Both Xmas and CP are c&s from about the same time period. Xmas Tree comes from, I would say, a more desirable (collecting wise) town. The only visible difference in the chips is the inlay. Even the colors appear to be identical.

The least expensive CP chip (lt green) sold (or was valued) by you at $350-$400+. I think there are at the very least 7 or more of them known. Why then is a navy Xmas c&s, of which only one is known (UNIQUE!!), only valued at $250 to $350.

I'm starting to think that you were not kidding when you said if I own it it's worth $1, if anyone else owns it, $250-$350. This begs the question, what is it worth if you own it.

I know this means nothing, but the gray Xmas Tree was being offered out of the Jerry Wall Collection for $1200 ---and there are at least 2 of them known. The person that was offered the chip (and declined vbg ) traded for my duplicate gray.

I guess I'm just crazy but I would put the red & gray at $600 and the yellow/navy/green at $750 and I think I'm being conservative. I guess that's why I don't write books.

Btw, if you run into the purple Xmas Tree, I'll pay $400 (stupid as that is on my part). Of course there would have to only be one purple found, since one-of-a-kinds are valued at $250-$350.
