My comments (for what they are worth!)

I'm a little bit late onto this post (blame the 5-8 hour time difference!).

Judy had contacted me, and at least one other person, last week and I quoted to her the section from Tom's (excellent) book with regards these chips. Judy explained that they had been in her family nearly 40 years which ties up with the date of manufacture of the chips.

However I think there probably are lots of these chips around - there have been lots on Ebay over the past year, suddenly appearing around the same time.

Based on this new set of chips being available, I suggested a value of $15-30 per chip which also takes into account the ever reducing number of people who want the chips (I personally have some, but not all of the H&C chips as I felt the original prices on Ebay were a little high, but perhaps that's just me always looking for a bargain ) and the fact that is appears that she wanted to dispose of them in one go rather than slowly over a period of time.

Obviously I would like to have found these chips among my family belongings, and wish Judy the best of luck in finding a buyer at a mutually acceptable price, be that the chips in total or individually, maybe here on the chipboard or on Ebay. Fortunately, for Judy, Playboy chips will carry a higher premium than any other English chips because of the number of collectors that want them, so depending on what she is expecting to receive, a nice find. I'll be hoping to pick up some of them if the price is right!!!
