Yes, that's why I suggested a note on the chip that both varieties exist. TCR is running out of four digit numbers.

I agree, all chips will not come in both and some chips may only be one type or the other.

Back in the "good old days" I suggested that it could be called LCV (long cane variety) Others might have come up with Raised Cane, or CV2 for cane variation two? lol I'm not positive but I think I did measure and found the cane was slightly longer on the LCV. So blame me for instigating much of this.

It's just like some color variations (haven't we been here before?) are they really a variation or a slight production variance? Maybe printing quality control on the inlays and batch variations on the chip material.
