While I am not a surporter of the seller I also have both colors. Not only is the coloring different but the insides of the diamond molds is considerably different. The Green version has a very flat shiny mold (exactly like the C&J shiny hats) while the grey version has very little shine in the mold and the bottom has more lumps and bumps on it. It appears that the green chip has more plastic or something in the composition to give it a much smoother finish. The level of wear on both of my chips is about the same. If I had some extras I would break one in half and confirm the color differences. They may have been made at the same time (since the hot stamps appear to be identical) but at the very least there were two different batches of blanks used. I tried to pick up the differences on my scanner but they didn't show up.
