I don't know how to post a link to the EBay auction (the number is 3622865516) but the auction listing shows several pictures of the ring. The auction also gives a detailed description of the ring's background and identifies Jim Smith and his associations (which is why I thought it OK to bring it up in this forum.) I don't post that much and should have labeled my original post as "non chip related." I have an interest in Vegas history and am excited about hearing first hand accounts of some of the characters that were central to Vegas in the 30's thru the 70's. Many people associated with gambling in LA in the late 30's were forced to leave LA and became some of the real Vegas "pioneers." I did bring a photo book of my chip collection and showed Mr. Smith my four die-cut Flamingo chips. I also showed him Ash Resnick's Thunderbird host chip as he was friends with Mr. Resnick.
