Could this be a new find Calif. chip ?

About a year ago, I placed an ad in our local *see note* newspaper. From that ad, I had a gentleman call offering these chips. (The larger of the two at the bottom of the scan.) I posted them here, but nobody seemed to have any knowledge of them.

A few days ago, I received a few Calif. chips in my mailbox. vbg Among them were the two Sands Club chips at top of scan. The Sands Club was located at 3850 San Pablo Ave., Emeryville, Ca. Opened in 1977 and closed ?

The large chip (I don’t have a micrometer) is approx. 1 5/8 inches in radius. Made of heavy plastic with 4 white inserts on the edge, which you can’t see in the scan. I have four of these. $1.00, blue….$5.00, red….$20.00, yellow and $100.00, purple. Note the Oriental characters. Kinda hard to see here, but they are identical on both chips.

My question is: Could these chips be attributed as being used at the Sands Club ?

Thanks……..Rick

*Note: Our “LOCAL” grin newspaper covers thousands of square miles in three counties.
