The first chip is the one I touched up using Adobe PhotoDeluxe ($79). I use the Extensis Intellifix option to correct color and clarity automatically. Then I used the Remove Moire option to get rid of the graininess.

The second chip is your original. It shows the diagonal lines (Moire).

I don't know if you can make adjustments on your scanner to do this automatically. If not this package is a fairly easy to use option for simple corrections.
