Early Las Vegas Digital Exhibition

UNLV Libraries has updated their digital collection of early Las Vegas.

It contains some great photos and images of the early years. I recommend a visit! One of my favorite quotes is from correspondance dated July 24, 1909 stating, "The future for Vegas looks very encouraging to us." by C. P. Squires to J. Ross Clark. Do you think he had a clue what Las Vegas would be like nearly a hundred years later?

Here's the info and link from my UNLV Alumni Association email:

"The UNLV Libraries is proud to announce the newly revised version of "Early Las Vegas," a digital exhibition using historical photographs, video and audio clips, and research collections contained in the Special Collections Department of the UNLV Libraries. There are six galleries: The Cottages, The Depot, Early Las Vegas, Fremont Street, Hoover Dam, and Night Club Las Vegas, all designed to simulate an actual gallery."
