My Lucky Day!!! vbg

I'll try to keep this short. I had some chips on auction a couple of weeks ago. Chris Hendrix bought a few and promptly sent the $$ for them. As usual, I took and old, previously used padded envelope, with my name and address still on it,and stuffed the chips into it, taped it up. I took that pkg., along with the envelope that Chris had sent (it had two copied pages of the ending auctions in it), and I purchased another larger flat cardboard envelope in which to put both inside of. I addressed it and sealed it, but the seal didn't look secure, so I asked the postal attendant to put some tape on it. Off it went, 1st class, "uninsured".

Yesterday, I returned home from a short trip and in the mailbox I had recieved a postal envelope with a large cellophane window and inside was the envelope that Chris had sent me, along with the two pages of copied auctions. My memory being about shot anyway, I thought "Oh Lord, I hope Chris didn't send cash 'cause it's gone now". I went inside to email him about the letter, and there was an email from Chris telling me that he had recieved an empty envelope addressed to him! No chips. Nada. I wrote Chris to let him know that I'd send his $$ back and thought I had just learned an expensive lesson, to insure everything!

Well, along with the envelope from the P.O., there was a notice for me to pick up an insured pkg. at the post office the next day (today). I went there today after work and there was a pkg. from another chipper in CO.. I wondered what in the world the fella was sending me as I had'nt traded or purchased anything from him in a month or so. When I opened the package, it was the chips that I had sent Chris!! Talk about a happy camper! All has ended well and the lesson didn't cost me near as much as it could have, just another $6 postage! (INSURED!!)
