The latest word from the north shore of Lake Tahoe is that the Crystal Bay Club is tentatively scheduled to reopen a week from today, Aug. 8. I was up there a couple of weeks ago, and it looked like a fair amount of work still needed to be done.

That building has so much history, having housed the Ta-Neva-Ho in the '30s and '40s. It's one of my favorite places at the lake.
