Well, I finally got time to get caught up a little since returning from the Convention. I left on June 8th and returned home on July 9th. I drove 8535 miles, went thru 22 States, visited around 150 Casinos and got a flat tire 5 miles from home at 2:00 am in the morning on July 9th - but I finally made it home !!! Since returning home I have had an Anniversary, two Grand kids birthdays, went to Atlantic City for the Chapter Meeting and visit to Borgata Casino, finished working on my Exhibit for the ANA Convention and yesterday I went to Baltimore and set up my 7 show cases of roulette chips at the ANA Convention. Other than that I haven't been doing much for the last month and a half. Boy, do I love this relaxed Retirement life style !!
The Convention was the best ever and I picked up a lot of nice chips, slot cards , etc for my collections. It was good to see all my old friends and to meet some new folks too. Special thanks to John Zoesch and his wife Debbie who shared their home with me for a couple of days. John and I had a great time sitting on the living room floor for 9 or 10 hours trading chips and slot cards. We also took a day trip to Harrah's Cherokee Casino in North Carolina. That was the only Harrah's property in the US that I had not visited - now I've seen them all and stayed at most of them !! I picked up around 500 chips and 300 different Slot Cards for my own collections. I now have over 500 different slot cards with my name on them. In total, counting dups, I picked up over 1200 chips and about 1000 slot cards. I also harvested a few roulettes along the way, a lot of new styles that even Greg Susong and the Nevada roulette collectors had not seen The roulettes in the attached scan are for sale or trade.
