hmmmmmm....I think there's some very good advice in some of these posts.

I was impressed with the originality of the plunger suggestion (would a plunger reach from the pot shelf?).

A few people got onto side issues (as usual...most of which were also, as usual!)

I was surprised, though, that no one mentioned the obvious....I guess it's up to me...

Jill, since the smoke detector is chirping like a cricket, maybe it is a cricket! The answer is to go out into the garage and find the biggest spider that's still alive, and send it to the smoke detector for dinner! Problem solved!

(If you've killed all your cricket catchers, maybe you can find a new one out in the Arizona desert?)
