I think I am using the following key.....

Bold, normal font (like S/N 0001) denotes the existence of a complete, matched serial number set.

Italics means the owner has the plaque(s) available For Sale.

Italics and Bold means the owner has the plaque(s) available For Sale, but at an auction site.

An asterisk (*) denotes a 4-piece, framed set ($20, $50, $100 and $500). These sets were put together by the Sahara (or Del Webb Corp.) as gifts/awards and given to Executives. Theye were not of matched serial numbers and they did not include the $1,000 plaque.

Sometimes the serial numbers are hard to read. That is why there are several "contested" plaques. (Please note, the owners are not debating ownership. I am waiting for any one of them to double check their plaques and tell me they definately have the number noted.

Lastly, (and I don't know why) but it is possible that something could be amiss with the numbering system or method. I own the $100 plaque with serial number 0845. However, the second digit has been a zero at one time and an eight at another time, on both sides! I suspect that it started off as 0045 and the second zero was over-struck with an eight.

Again, this over-strike is present on both sides. Does anyone else have a plaque with this characteristic? Not sure I'd characterize it as an error, but.....
