Interesting stuff. I did talk to one of the mayors of Linwood Place a few years ago. It may not be the same guy you are talking about. He knew alot about the gambling in the early 50's. he named at least a half a dozen places without taking a breath. he mentioned the 5911, the Valley Cigar Store, the VFW Canteen, the Linden Bar and many more. Apperently Elmwood Place was just like Newport.....Just out of the city limits of Cincinnati, and the officals were all paid off. The photo is of the entrance to the Arrowhead Inn. The guy in the sailor hat is the same one that gave me the postcard. photo from 60+ years ago.
