Not A Borland "special" grin

This $5 Bank Club, Ely N0924 Maroon w/ 3-Pink, DIECAR, or one like it, was in Dale Seymour's collection. About 1980, Dale traded a few hundred ivory poker chips to Harvey Gross for several hundred casino chips. Harvey Gross was the owner of Harvey's Casino in Lake Tahoe and the uncle of Howdy Herz. Howdy used to make chip runs all over Nevada to get chips for Harvey's collection. This $5 Bank Club was one of those chips.

I have not seen another like it until now. Dale's Nevada chip collection was sold over a year ago so I'm not sure if this chip was his. It is listed in TCR-9 with an *R value, meaning that not enough sales have been noted to have anything but a guess as to the value. We valued it at (L) until about 4 years ago. None had been seen during that time so we raised it to (*R)
