I really cannot see why anyone would want to slab a chip - especially with airtights that offer as much or more protection. Personally, the fun of collecting them is being able to handle them, stack them, look at them under UV lights, clean (or not) clean them, etc. Though I have a modest collection of silver strikes, they don't offer the same "fun" of chips.
