I suppose timing is everything.. and as all of us know, luck.. I think it was about 5AM on one of those days that I got mine and Duke's from the cage.. this makes up for when we were there opening day at the MGM Grand in Detroit and played blackjack instead of roulette so didn't get any of the roulette chips they decided to pull from the tables right away.. I got some of the $25 GO chips from the cage Saturday night, so those are still available.. they even had $100 GO chips, but most of us don't collect at that level.
