Next Tucson trade session is Aug. 5

Hi everyone. I'm gearing up for Tucson's second trade session scheduled for August 5 at 7 p.m. If you happen to be in the Tucson area around that time, why don't you stop by and join the action? You'll make some new friends, maybe see some familiar faces as well, and if you're real lucky, you might even make some great trades too. Of course, if you don't happen to have any traders, I'm pretty sure a cash transaction can be arranged. grin NOTE This started out as a chip trading session but some people also brought silver strikes so I wouldn't be a bit surprised if people attending future sessions also had other casino related collectibles to trade. Light refreshments will again be provided for those attending. The trade session will be held at:

The Craycroft Tower Apartments
Recreation Room
1635 N. Craycroft Rd.
Tucson, AZ 85712

Here's a recap of what happened at the very first trade session we had on May 6:

Eleven people from the Tucson area showed up. In addition to casino chips being traded, there were also several people who had silver strikes too. My husband Bill, an amateur magician, was on hand to direct parking. He also provided entertainment and amazed the group with his "magical" abilities. Unfortunately, he refused to tell anyone the secret of how he did his illusionary magic. Those magicians have a code of their own, "Never, never divulge how the magic is done." Shucks.

The trading session lasted for approximately 2 1/2 hours and everyone seemed very pleased with all the trades and deals they were making. A suggestion was made to have quarterly trade sessions but since then I've been contacted by a couple of people who would like to hold the sessions every other month instead. They said quarterly sessions are just too far apart for them. Boy, they must have really enjoyed it.

So, if you're going to be in Tucson on August 5, send me an email with your name and address and in return I'll send you a map showing the location. I'll need to know an approximate figure of how many people are attending by August 2nd so I can make the arrangements to have enough tables set up. The room we do the trading in is about 30' X 40' and can accommodate ten to twelve 8' tables.

Thanks for reading this post.
