I received an E-mail from

verify @ paypal.com

It seemed a bit suspect to me so I viewed the full headers.

Although the Return-Path showed to be a paypal E-mail address, the rest of the info didn't seem legit.

So, I called up Paypal to verify my suspicions.

I got a very friendly answer that I was indeed correct. The E-mail was not from Paypal. The woman told me she was sending my an E-mail on how to report the fake E-mail I got.

i just wish there was a way to keep people from faking the Return-Path.

There are a lot of people that must be getting burned by stuff like this. On the suface it seems legit.

Anyway. To make a long story not so long, I wanted to give all you Paypal users a heads up.
