I recently spoke to another chip collector and asked why they weren't going to have a traditional fun night.
His feeling was that unlike with prior openings, a large majority of dealers and pit personnel have prior casino experience. Hence no fun nite chips or play money for us collectors.
From my understanding there will also be no Grand opening chips, well...... at least initially.
