I received a similar e-mail requesting pay pal information verification.
How did I know it was a scam? I don't subscribe to pay pal.

As far as the ebay scam, one needs to be careful as I have seen this appear in various forms during the last few months.

Best rule of thumb, anyone asking for financial information via e-mail...... DON'T DO IT
I guess the old Nigerian scams are starting to wear thin
