of course one option is the carry on, that presents one level of problems. Fedex is always an option but that leaves other possible problems - not to mention the expense.

Best of all worlds would have been to drive them out there. Maybe you could have offered Jerry B some of the gas money for his trip. It might be an option for next year.

Short of that might be to make sure the chips are insured and see if you can lock the bags after they go through the Xray. At least in Philadelphia you can watch them check your bags and have the option to relock them afterwards.

When I go through through the carry on I make sure I have them in a place that I can get to them and put them in the bin for hand checking.
