That's awful. If the chip was originally white (can't really tell if it could be cream colored from the scan) try some Clorox or other chlorine bleach (carefully so you don't hit the blue inserts) on a q-tip and see if it takes the red away. If the surface was porous enough to take the red dye, it just might bleach out. One never knows...
