I do not think the newbie theory is the reason. That may be true for a small portion of the membership but not to the extent to make it the main factor. Consider the totals. Only 175 nominators for OTY. In officer elections less than 25% of membership voted. The VP position received the most votes with 620. That leaves over 75% that did not vote for our officers. Indifference and apathy seem to be the more likely cause.
