Each time I see that picture of the 4,000 sq. ft. stained glass canopy at the Trop I cannot help but think of the ever shrinking casino floor space devoted to table games. There was something special about sitting at a card table under that stunning work of art. Somehow, sitting at a slot machine under that canopy does not induce the same feeling.
I would encourage everyone to take a long look at that canopy while at the convention this year. With the uncertainty about the future of the Tropicana, it just might be your last chance to see it.
